It was 10 years ago today that I was in Austin enjoying spending time with several members of the Coale family. The weather was perfect for an outdoor wedding, and Kristen & Ben had chose a beautiful outdoor venue with nearby clubhouse that had great outdoor lighting (even the trees had lights strung on them, which was perfect for fall when it gets darker earlier). They had a great idea of giving this cute cooler sleeve for all attendees, which I still have:
Ben and Kristen had also treated us to a great meal the night before at Franklin BBQ. Kristen kindly sent me some pictures of several members of our family at the restaurant, here is one of them:
A year later, Craig at the library was showing the great Jon Favreau directed movie Chef, and my jaw dropped when I saw them stop at Franklin in the movie, walking in where we had dined:
An internet search shows that the movie was filmed just two months earlier before we were there. Had I known that Franklin BBQ was a famous restaurant, I would certainly have taken some additional pictures of the family, but thank goodness Kristen had someone taking photos such as the above.
So thanks again to Ben and Kristen for a great time and happy 10th anniversary!
